Lorraine has been a Medina County resident since 1982. Lorraine began her career with the U. S. Government in 1972 when she accepted a group clerk position with the Internal Revenue Service. Lorraine was promoted to a criminal investigator position in 1976 and later transferred to the Department of Labor, Office of Labor Racketeering. Lorraine was involved in several high-profile criminal investigations and also occasionally traveled on overseas protection details with the U. S. Secretary of Labor. Hlavin retired from government service in December of 2004 and is now self employed as a land leasing agent for local oil and gas exploration companies. Hlavin resides in Sharon Center with husband Wayne and daughters Kate and Hannah.
Marilyn J. Chase is an Executive Vice President and partner with Liggett Stashower, a full-service branding firm in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to executive level agency management responsibilities, Marilyn provides branding and marketing strategy and counsel for a variety of clients, including Exterior Portfolio by Crane and Henkel Professional Adhesives. Marilyn began her career on the client side, spending nearly 15 years working in the advertising departments of J.B. Robinson Jewelers, Revco Drugs Stores (now CVS) and Master Builders Technologies before joining the agency in 1987. Outside the office, Marilyn is a political junkie and an avid outdoor enthusiast and wildlife conservationist.
Jeff is a Certified Traffic Control Supervisor and is currently the Cleveland Manager for A & A Safety, Inc., a traffic control subcontractor. He oversees contracts involving the installation of work zones for the major Heavy Highway contractors in Northern Ohio as well as rentals and sales of traffic control equipment. He is a past president of the Ohio chapter of the American Traffic Safety Services Association. and served on its national Education and Training committee. He is currently the chairperson for the Cleveland chapter of the Ohio Contractors Association and serves on the Cleveland executive committee. He is an industry member of the Ohio Department of Transportation pavement marking committee. Having formerly worked 17 years in the restaurant industry, he shares a passion for cooking with his wife Janine. They have catered small neighborhood parties as well as occasions for over 100 people. Their son Jeffrey is currently a senior at The Ohio State with a major in Construction Management.
Mike and his wife Susan have been long time residents of Medina, Ohio. Both just recently retired from 30+ years in public education. Mike spent his entire
career in the Medina City Schools where he was a teacher, Middle School Assistant Principal and completed the last five years as a House Principal at Medina High School. Their one son,
Matt, presently lives and works in the Chicago area.
Mike earned his bachelor degree from Wilmington College (Ohio), and a Masters degree in School Administration from John Carroll University. Both he and Susan served on many building, district
and community committees throughout their years in education and plan to continue their service to the community.
